Welcome to Team Sophie!
Grab your purple shirt and Stroll, walk, jog, bike or drive around your neighborhood for Team Sophie on Saturday, October 23, 2021 for the 14th Annual St. Louis Stroll! Just because we can't get together personally doesn't mean we can't raise awareness and funds for Rett!
Snap some pics in your favorite purple gear and tag me on Facebook so we can flood social media!
Help us celebrate and honor the girls, boys and women living with Rett Syndrome and join in the movement to find a cure and better treatments for Rett Syndrome! Sophie is a smart, loving, amazing 17-year old living with this cruel disorder! She handles things with more grace than most! We know she deserves the chance to have improved treatments for her symptoms and ultimately a cure for this life-changing disorder! We continue to raise money to keep moving in that direction!
Rett syndrome is a genetic neurological disorder occurring almost exclusively in females and becoming apparent after 6-18 months of early normal development. The resulting regression leads to lifelong impairments, including lost speech, seizures, scoliosis, irregular breathing patterns, and more than half of the children and women lose the ability to walk. Those diagnosed with Rett syndrome require maximum assistance with basic daily activities.
Your donation will help fund important research and family support. This cause is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight for a cure for Rett syndrome!
Please join Team Sophie and donate to my efforts to support IRSF in finding a cure! Your help is our hope!
