Team Bree
Hey (as Bree would say) - my mom is really late getting this information out, but most of you already know that October was Rett Syndrome Awareness month. My family and I will be participating in the Rett Syndrome Virtual Strollathon on November 13 to raise funds and awareness of Rett Syndrome. Rett Syndrome has no magic cure yet, but the research scientists are getting closer each day. There are many clinical trials going on and we need everyone's help in our fundraising efforts (even $5 will help). Would you please support me in my fundraising goal (below is the link). Please forward this message to your friends, your work associates and any others you wish to forward this message to.
Rett syndrome is a genetic neurological disorder occurring almost exclusively in females and becoming apparent after 6-18 months of early normal development. The resulting regression leads to lifelong impairments, including lost speech, seizures, scoliosis, irregular breathing patterns, and more than half of the children and women lose the ability to walk. Those diagnosed with Rett syndrome require maximum assistance with basic daily activities.
Your donation will help fund important research and family support (see link below). This cause is very important to me and I appreciate your help as we fight for a cure for Rett syndrome!
If you wish to donate and do not want to do it on-line, please let my parents know as we can accept off-line donations and turn them in for you.
Thanks for your support!
Love, Bree
