Welcome to the Team Ceci Me Strollin' Homepage!
We are taking part in the International Rett Syndrome Foundation's Cincy Strollathon to support Cecilia and all children affected by Rett Syndrome by raising money for essential research of effective treatments and to find a cure for Rett syndrome.
Rett syndrome is a genetic neurological disorder occurring almost exclusively in females and becoming apparent after 6-18 months of early normal development. The resulting regression leads to lifelong impairments, including lost speech, seizures, scoliosis, irregular breathing patterns, and more than half of the children and women lose the ability to walk. Those diagnosed with Rett syndrome require maximum assistance with basic daily activities.
Cecilia is doing wonderfully and has made great improvements in her ability to walk and communicate. She is happy, fun loving, and a jokester more than ever. We would very much appreciate your support to help fund research that can improve her ability to walk, talk, and communicate.
There is so much promising research being done and therapies on the horizon and we want to do everything we can do to help make those a reality even faster!
The Strollathon has been moved to a virtual format this year, but that won't stop us from raising as much funds as we can to help cure Rett Syndrome! Your help is our hope!
