7th Annual Raleigh Strollathon: Virtual Edition

Team Nadine

We will be walking in the Strollathon, Rettsyndrome.org signature fundraising and awareness event, to raise money for essential research of effective treatments and to find a cure for Rett syndrome. The virtual stroll will take place on Saturday, October 17, 2020.

Our daughter, Nadine Keane, was diagnosed with Rett Syndrome, just before her 2nd birthday. We just recently celebrated her 5th birthday and we are so happy to see how much she has grown and progressed since her diagnosis. She works every day on standing, walking, and communicating with us using her eye gaze device. She loves music and reading books. Nadine is full of happiness and smiles. We hope and pray for the day that there is a cure for Rett Syndrome!

Rett Syndrome is a genetic neurological disorder occurring almost exclusively in females and becoming apparent after 6-18 months of early normal development. The resulting regression leads to lifelong impairments, including lost speech, seizures, scoliosis, irregular breathing patterns, and more than half of the children and women lose the ability to walk. Those diagnosed with Rett Syndrome require maximum assistance with basic daily activities.

Please register and join Team Nadine for the Virtual Strollathon on Saturday, October 17, or donate to Team Nadine!
